A Close Encounter with Hammerhead Sharks

Capturing this moment was a breathtaking experience. Behind Jackson Reef, in the Strait of Tiran, scalloped hammerhead sharks gather during summertime. I ventured into the vast blue, hoping to witness their majestic presence. It was worth every second. I discovered a school of about 50 sharks gracefully swimming toward me.

Holding my breath, I carefully approached them to minimize any disturbance. One shark ventured so close that I managed to frame this incredible shot. The waters of Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai, Egypt, offered the perfect backdrop, enhancing the unique beauty of these creatures.
