This portrait of a green turtle feeding on seagrass near Cancun holds a special place in my heart. It took countless hours of observation and patience to capture the perfect moment. To my delight, this image was awarded first place in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition by the BBC in London in 2013, under the Cold-Blooded Animal Behavior category. It’s a testament to the beauty and importance of preserving marine life.
