San Benedicto Island, a gem in the Revillagigedo Archipelago, offers some of the most incredible cleaning stations for sharks and manta rays. One special location, "El Boiler," is a magnet for mantas. On this dive, I found myself alone at the end, with perfect visibility and light. A massive manta ray glided gracefully beneath me, and as I framed the shot, I noticed something extraordinary.

The unique volcanic formations of San Benedicto set the backdrop for this image. It wasn’t until I reviewed the photo later that I realized the lava resembled the face of an old man, a figure I now see as Poseidon himself.
